Description	The New York Clipper, Dec. 5, 1857, reports on a town ball game Nov. 20th in Philadelphia between two sides of the United States Club. Six on each side. Richard Hershberger identifies at least 3 more town ball clubs in Philadelphia (Olympic, Excelsior, Athletic), plus 4 in neighboring Germantown (Honey Run, Marion, Balsch and Charter Oak) and 1 in neighboring Camden, NJ (Camden). For mentions of the games of the Philadelphia town ball clubs, see New York Clipper June 19, July 3 and Nov. 20, 1858 (Camden vs. Olympic); Nov. 5, 1859 (Excelsior vs. Athletic, 11 a side); Aug, 4 and 11, 1860 (Excelsior vs. Camden). The Excelsior and Olympic are known to have switched to NY rules baseball around 1860.
