Description | According to a 2002 article, the fairgrounds were exactly where the modern Fairgrounds Park is. The Winnebago County Agricultural Society Fairgrounds were used by several local teams, and for the 1866 baseball tournament held in Rockford. It was the site of the park for the short-lived Forest City professional club. |
