Description | The Springfield (MA) Republican Sept. 19, 1866, says on Friday the Dartmouth College base-ball club won the championship of New Hampshire by beating the Kearsarge club of Concord 38 to 7. The Concord (NH) Patriot Aug. 26, 1868 reported that the Kearsarge BBC of Concord played the Pickwick BBC of Manchester. Concord New Hampshire Statesman, Sept. 14, 21, 28, 1866 reports the Kearsarge played the Rockingham of Portsmouth in 1866 and lost, but in the return game beat them 32-19 in a games called after 5 innings due to rau=in, |
