Description | The grounds of Fort Brooke, the military reservation, was donated to Tampa in 1888. It appears the first game was played on these grounds, which were on the Garrison Channel near the present Tampa Bay History Center. Modern Cotanchobee/Fort Brooke Park stands there. |
