Description | The Fort Wayne (IN) Daily Gazette, Aug. 27, 1866, reports on a game in Fort Wayne between the Kekionga of Fort Wayne and the Enterprise club of Sidney, Ohio, umpired by Mr. Woodward of the Buckeye Base Ball Club of Dayton, Ohio. Dayton OH had a 1860 pop. of about 20,000 and an 1870 count of about 30,500. It was the nation's 45th largest city in 1860. |
