Description	The Union Grounds were used by the Lowell and Tri-Mountain clubs 1869-70, after the Boston Commons was temporarily torn up. The Boston Daily Advertiser, June 24, 1869 says the Union Base Ball grounds are entered at Milford Place, off Tremont Street, with the Brookline and Jamaica Plain train cars passing by the grounds. The 1870 Boston Directory helps locate this as in the South End, in Ward 15, near modern Ruggles Station. "Milford Place" stretched from (then) 1087 Tremont to Windsor.
