Description | The Sussex (NJ) Register, July 6, 1866 reports that the 1st nine Star BBC of Newton defeated the second nine 25-19. The New York Clipper, Oct. 13, 1866 gives the box scores of the baseball games at the Sussex County Fair, played at Newton, NJ. The Randolph of Dover were defeated by the Passaic of Chatham 37-22 on Oct. 2, but beat the Star of Newton 56-27 on Oct. 3.
