Description | The Lacon Home Journal, July 10, 1867: "Henry has got a base ball club, in which many of the prominent citizens are enrolled." Same, Aug. 14, 1867, reports the Ristori Base Ball Club of Henry has challenged Lacon to a game. [Madame Ristori was a famous actress of the time] Same Aug. 28, 1867 reports that the Ristori of Henry beat Lacon 48 to 17. Same Sept. 11, 1867 says the Ristori of Henry were beaten by the Marshalls of Henry. Same Sept. 18, 1867, has Lacon beating the Ristoris at the Henry Fair. |
