Description	The Dubuque Telegraph Herald, Aug. 12, 1945, citing a 1908 book on Galena baseball, says that the Jo Daviess BBC formed in May 1867. The Freeport Journal, May 28, 1867, reports the organization of this club. Don Korte's "Galena's Baseball Legacy" says the Jo Daviess club soon renamed itself the Galena BBC. The club played their initial game at the fair grounds. Galena is in Jo Daviess County.
