Description | The Naperville Clarion, June 29, 1870, reports that on July 4th there will be a "union picnic" in Lisle, at which "a match game of base ball will be played." Naperville residents are invited to attend. The game was between a Naperville picked nine and the Plow Boys of Downers Grove. Naperville won, 28-19. |
