Description | Kendall County Record, July 25, 1867 reports that the Union BBC of Plano is to play the Amateurs of Morris next Saturday. Same Aug. 4, 1867 gives the score of that game. Same Aug. 29, Sept. 5, 1867 says this club played the Amateur BBC of Sandwich on the 30th, Morris winning by 12 scores. Same Oct. 17, 1867 says that at the Grundy County Fair the Fox River of Yorkville and Bristol defeated the Illinois club 59-39. The Chicago Tribune, Aug. 20, 1867, reports that the first nine of the Illinois BBC of Morris lost to the 2nd nine of the Shabbona of Ottawa, 75-63, at Morris. The Ottawa Free Trader, May 30, 1868 reports that the Illinois BBC of Morris beat the Shabbona of Ottawa on Wednesday last. The Ottawa Free Trader, May 16, 1869, reports on a rematch between these two clubs planned for May 22. |
