| Description | The first mention of the Forest City BBC of Savannah is a meeting reported in the Savannah Daily News & Herald, Nov. 2, 1867. A roster of the team is in the Charleston Daily News, Sept. 8, 1868. This club is the former Active Club, renamed the Forest City Oct., 19, 1867. Officers elected that night were William D. Craven (Pres); J. H. Estill (VP); D. B. Hamlin (Sec); William D. R. Miller (Treas). The Board included Messrs. Wilson and McDaniels. |
