Comment | The 1865 Fair Grounds are described at 1.5 miles southeast of Minneapolis. See https://www.mnbricks.com/minnesota-state-fair/# and https://homesmsp.com/2020/09/kings-fair-kings-highway-colonel-king.html The 1873 map of Hennepin County locates the Fair Grounds as bounded by Franklin on the North, 24th St. on the west. Just south of modern Merwyn Triangle Park. The 19th century fairgrounds extended from 24th Avenue on the west to 30th Avenue on the east, between Franklin Avenue on the north to 24th Street on the South. Edit with form to add a comment |
