Description | Northville formed its first base ball club in 1867, a club that appears to have been the foundation for the club referred to as 'Eclipse' in 1869. The Eclipse defeated the Lone Star of Plymouth 53-36 on Aug. 30, 1869. Northville is about 20 miles W of Detroit, in SW Michigan. |
