Description | The Door County Advocate [Sturgeon Bay], July 9, 1874: "Base Ball. The match game of base ball between the Peninsulas, of this place, and the Menominees, of Menominee, for a purse of twenty-five dollars, came off last Saturday afternoon, in the presence of a large crowd of spectators." The Peninsulas won, 29 to 3. Menominee left after 5 innings, due to their coming late to the game. The article gives a box score with the players names. |
