Description | The Chicago Tribune, June 1, 1871 reports that on May 23rd the Little Fort BBC of Waukegan defeated a Lake Forest nine. The Waukegan Weekly Gazette, July 11, 1874 reports that on the 4th, Libertyville beat visiting Lake Forest 16-10. The Chicago Evening Post, July 5, 1867 reports on a Chicago game umpired by a Mr. Fargo of the "Lake Forest Club." Chicago Tribune May 13, 1877: "The Lake Forest boys won a very creditable victory at Racine by defeating the Racines by a score of 15 to 7." Lake Forest is north of Chicago. |
