Description | The Yankton Press and Daily Dakotaian, July 6, 1882, reports that the Iroquois BBC (of Yankton) played July 1 against Cavour and July 4 against Huron. The Huron [SD] Daily Huronite, June 17, 1886 says the Huron club beat Fort Sully 11 to 4 in Pierre. The Canton Advocate, July 19, 1883: "Huron has a base ball club which challenges any club in southern Dakota..." Huron SD (1880 pop. about 150; 1890 pop. about 3000) is about 120 miles NW of Sioux Falls. |
