Description | The Selma Times and Messenger, Oct. 13, 1867 reports that the Central City BBC will play the Athletic BBC on the 17th. Same, Oct. 18 gives a box score of the game, won by the Central City 72-59. In 1868 the two teams merged to form the Mutual.
Mobile Register, April 27, 1868 has an article on the state baseball convention which lists the Athletic and Central clubs of Selma as attending. Selma is about 45 miles west of Montgomery. |
