Description | The Cleveland Leader, Dec. 22, 1866, picks up a Chicago Tribune article about the recent Northwest Baseball Convention in Chicago. Among the WI teams represented were the Badger of Columbus, the Badger of Beloit, and the Diamond of Mishawaka. According to the New York Clipper article on the convention, Jan. 5, 1867, the club was organized June 28, 1866. Harvey Rowell was the delegate. Jeff Sackman, "The Capital City Base Ball Club of Madison," says this club played the Capital City Jrs. in August of 1866. |
