| Description | Said to be at/near the corner of Claiborne and Bagatelle (now Bourbon/Pauget). The New Orleans Crescent, Sept. 29, 1859 has a long article about how the racket and baseball clubs are competing as to who gets to play here. Same Aug. 10, 1859 says the new Racket grounds are "near the old paper mill, back of the Mexican Gulf Railroad, and below the Pontchartrain Railroad." The Magnolia Club played here Aug. 28, 1859. See New Orleans Crescent, Aug. 29, 1859. |
