Speech at the Library of Congress, Washington, July 14, 2018.  Delivered at the LOC exhibit on Baseball Americana, 2018.

A significant portion of this address reflects John's research on the origins of base ball, including the key roles of Knickerbocker Club members Doc Adams, William Henry Grenelle, and Lewis Wadsworth -- and the transformative 1857 convention on the game's rules.
