The Bloomington Base Ball Club of Bloomington finished 2nd in the tournament, beating (among others) the Cream City club of Milwaukee 23 to 20. The same club lost to a Chicago team at the September 1866 baseball tournament in Bloomington. See the Springfield Illinois State Register, Sept. 10, Sept. 13, 1866. The "Star" club of Bloomington also played in this tournament. The same club attended the Northwest Base Ball Convention in Chicago that December. See the Cleveland Leader, Dec. 22, 1866, picking up a Chicago Tribune article. |
