Description	The Janesville (WI) Gazette, Aug. 11, 1876, reports that the Spring City club of Woodstock defeated the Bluff City of Elgin 11 to 10, at Elgin. Same Aug. 16, 1876 says the Spring City defeated the Lone Stars of Geneva, WI Aug. 15 "at the fair grounds" in Woodstock, 26 to 16. Same Aug. 31, 1876 says that on Aug. 30th the Clippers of Woodstock beat the Victors of Marengo 18 to 12 at Marengo. Same Aug. 23, 1876 says the the Clippers of Woodstock lost to the Bluff City of Elgin on Aug. 22, 15 to 1.
