Description | The Chicago Tribune, July 27, 1867, has an extensive article on the State base ball convention. Among the clubs sending delegates was the Wenona of Wenona. The Ottawa Free Trader Aug. 19, 1871, says that during the county fair, "the Wenona base ball club will play the Shabbonas of Ottawa for a purse of one hundred dollars." |
