| Description | The Muskegon Chronicle, Sept. 5, 1879 reprints an article from the Traverse Bay Eagle saying Traverse City Base Ball Club's loss to Muskegon "on Monday" humbled them. It goes on to say that the Traverse City team "scooped" the Petoskey club badly in a recent game, which to the Chronicle means that hthe Petoskey club must be awfully raw. |
