Description	Peter Morris et al, editors, "Base Ball Pioneers, 1850-1870" mentions the West Meriden team defeating the Active and Athletic of Cheshire in 1866. The Waterbury Daily American, June 16, 1866 says the Active Club is of the Episcopal Academy of Cheshire. Cheshire CT (current pop. about 29,000) is about 25 miles SW of Hartford and 15 miles N of New Haven.
