Description | Jeff Sackmann says that the Capital City BBC, the original organized BBC in Madison, had in 1865 its grounds on the shore of Lake Mendota, near the University of Wisconsin.
He also says an 1860 schoolboy game was played on a vacant lot 3 blocks from the capitol building. And that during the Civil War, baseball was played at Camp Randall, a union army training camp that today is the location of the University football stadium |
