Description	The Colorado Daily Chieften [Pueblo], Aug. 17, 1876: "Canon City, August 17. The second game of base ball between the Inter-Ocean Club, of this place, and the Union, of El Moro and Trinidad, for the championship of Southern Colorado, was played on the former's grounds yesterday, the 16th inst." The Inter-Ocean won 26 to 25 in a late inning thriller. The Colorado Springs Gazette, April 3, 1875, reports that a bbc has been formed in Canon City, presumably this one. Canon City was founded in 1860.
