A game of base ball between the Riversides of St. Louis and the Red Stockings of this city, played Sunday, resulted in favor of the latter by a score of 18 to 6." Same, Sept. 2, 1875 mentions the St. Clair BBC of Belleville. Same, Sept. 14, 1875 reports a baseball tournament for the championship of Belleville, involving the Buckeyes, St. Clair, Bluffs, Red Stockings and Brown Sox clubs.
