Description | The Jacksonville New South, Aug. 1, 1874 announces the challenge of the Long Fellows Club to the Fat Man's Club of Jacksonville. William M. Saunders is the captain of the Long Fellows. Peter Jones is the captain of the FMBBC. Same 7-25-74 gives the club's roster, and weights. J. H. Dove is Secretary and first baseman. The challenge the 2nd nine of the local R. E. Lee to a game on the 28th, and the Lee's grounds, head of Hogan Street. Same 8-5-74 has the Fat Man's Club of Lake City challenging this FMBBC. |
