Description | The Riverside Park (est. 1864) was used for the 1867 New England Baseball Tournament, as well as other baseball games. This was a Trotting horse race park, aka Beacon Park. It was situated in Allston, within easy distance of Boston, on the Charles River, bounded by Cambridge St. on the north and the railroad tracks on the south and west. The modern Doubletree Hotel sits on the northeast corner of the park. |
