Description

The New York Clipper, Oct. 29, 1870, reports that the Montgomery Club of Montgomery County, AL beat the Seville Club of Pensacola 66-16 on Oct. 16th. Same, Nov. 12, 1870 says the Bonnie Blues of Montgomery beat the Sevilles 61-18 on the 21st, and beat a picked nine from the Sevilles and Westcotts of Pensacola on the 22nd.

The Tallahassee Weekly Floridian, Aug. 2, 1870 reports that the Seville defeated the Shoo Fly BC 41-1.

Early games were played at Seville Square in Pensacola. Presumably the team was nicknamed for the square.
