Description | The Nashville (IL) Journal, Oct. 4, 1867 reports that at the Mt. Vernon Fair the Dead Beats of Ashley defeated the Unions of Centralia 35-24, and that the Egyptians of Centralia defeated the Star of Mt. Vernon 59-42. The Wayne County Press, Sept. 18, 1868 mentions that the Stars of Mt. Vernon are to play the Snails of Fairfield. The Centralia Democrat, April 8, 1869 reports that the Stars of Mt. Vernon recently changed their named to the Resolute. |
