Description | The Chicago Tribune, Nov. 20, 1900, reporting on amateur clubs says the Olivets played the Skokie Club of Shermerville. The Arlington Heights Cook County Herald, June 22, 1917 reports the Shermerville baseball team defeated the Glenview team 8 to 1 Sunday. Same June 6, 1919 has Shermerville beating Glenview 6-5. Northbrook was incorporated in 1901 as Shermerville. The name was changed in 1923 to Northbrook. |
