<p>White is probably Samuel F. White (1829-1917), a liquor (and later lumber) dealer. Gillespie is the future Chicago Excelsiors guy (1833-1901). No suitable Rapp or Merrill on the 1860 census or 1861 Chicago Directory.&nbsp;</p>
