Description | The Brimfield Gazette, Feb. 28, 1877 reports that the Monica boys beat Rochester badly last Saturday, and are to play Brimfield this coming Saturday. Brimfield is in Peoria County. Monica is north of Brimfield. The only "Rochester" in IL is near Springfield, and thus not the "Rochester" referred to. This "Rochester" is in Millbrook Tp., Peoria County, and is now named Elmore (which see). |
