Description

The Henderson Tribune, July 31, 1873 complains that Henderson doesn't have a base ball club. Same, Sept. 3, 1874: "Our town is enlivened every afternoon with a game of base ball which is frequently played by the pupils of Mr. T. Horner's school one side and the young men of the town on the other."
