Description | The Quincy Daily Herald, Aug. 18, 1869 reports that on Aug. 17th the Occidental Jr. Club of Quincy beat the Liberty BBC of Springfield 34-29 for the junior championship of Illinois. This suggests that the Liberty formed a Junior club. The New York Clipper, April 30, 1870 has a long piece about the Liberty Jr., who claim to be the champ Junior club in IL, if not the nation. |
