Description

The Chicago Tribune, July 18, 1875 reports on a game between the Bluff City of Elgin and the Socials of St. Charles being cancelled on account of illnesses in the Elgin team. Same Aug. 15, 1875 mentions a game between the Recreations of St. Charles and the "Cast Iron" nine of Bignall's Foundry in St. Charles. St. Charles is west of Chicago.
