Description	Syracuse (Syracuse) 24 Utica (Utica) 24 (Porter’s Spirit of the Times: “This game has caused considerable excitement, it being for, it might be said, the championship of the two towns.”) The Utica team claimed that Syracuse brought in a "ringer" and that the umpire, from Syracuse, was hopelessly biased. The score was 20-19 in some accounts.
