Description | Natchez Democrat, May 4, 1869 had an advertisement inviting people to join the Rosalie Base Ball Club, at their meeting in “engine room No. 3.” Same April 4, 1867, Sept. 28, 1867, reports on a meeting of the Rosalie BBC. Before April, the club had been known as the Natchez club and had played practice games since January. Natchez MS (pop. about 18,500) on the Mississippi River about 65 miles S of Vicksburg and about 95 miles SW of Jackson. |
