The Baltimore Sun, Oct. 14, 1861 reports on a baseball game between the Monumental and Bolton Clubs. Same, Feb. 21, 1867, has an article on the MD state baseball convention and lists the clubs sending delegates. Among these was the Monumental Club of Baltimore.
