At the conclusion of play the Club were invited by Mr. Perry, the gentleman proprietor of the Hotel at the Elysian Fields, to partake of a beautiful collation, which he had prepared for them. A very pleasant time ensued, and the Jeffersons experienced an agreeable closing of what has been to them a very prosperous season. It may mot be out of place to remark here, that the Jeffersons have lost but two games during the season of 1860.) |
