Description	A new Base Ball Club, called the "Independent," has been organized in Plattsburgh, with the following officers: President, E. Holcomb; Vice President, J. D. Evans; Secretary, G. W. Watson; Treasurer, J. W. Weaver; Field Directors, J. Clock, F. McCadden and H. Ransom. Plattsburgh NY (current population about 20,000)is in northernmost New York State and on Lake Champlain. It is about 160 miles N of Albany NY, about 60 miles S of Montreal, and30 miles NW of Burlington VT.
