| Description | 1896...First baseball game is reported to have been held on John Calhoun’s cow pasture near the mouth of Gold Creek. A Calhoun Dairy was in early Juneau. Gold Creek is on the north side of Juneau, along with a Calhoun Road. Johanson, "The Golden Days of Baseball" says that Juneau beat Douglas on July 4, 1892 |
