Description	The Anacortes Northwest Enterprise, May 6, 1882 reports that the May Day celebration in that town included "Croquet, base ball, swinging and rambles." The Anacortes American, May 29, 1890 reports the Anacortes club is to play the Gurnee Indian Club for a $25 prize. Anacortes was founded in 1877. It had 1,131 residents in 1890.
