Description | The ball grounds of the Newburghs were in the field at the corner of South and Johnston Streets. The home plate was in the shade of a willow tree at the south end. There were at one time two small club-house there; one was square and belonged to the Newburgh Club: the other, octagon shaped, belonged to the Hudson Rivers. This address would be about 197 South St. |
