Description | Hamilton vs. Vigilants - The second game of a home and home match between these clubs was played yesterday on the grounds of the Hamilton, corner of Gates and Grand avenue. But five innings were played at the end of which the score stood Hamilton 28, Vigilants 8. The playing on the part of the Hamiltons was very good, all of them batting well. Some of the Vigilants played a very fair game, but the play of several was decidedly of the "muffin" order. At the conclusion of the game the Vigilants were entertained with a supper by the Hamiltons, at the Montauk Saloon |
