Awaiting Review
Date Friday, June 5, 1868
Location Brooklyn, NY, United States
Modern Address 215 Heyward St.
Description The Eckford Club of Brooklyn defeated the Athletic Club of Brooklyn on June 5, 1868, at the Union Grounds, Brooklyn, by 60-3. Contemporary accounts recording the clubs' 'bases on hits', a feature first recorded in 1867, state that the Athletic made none, and so qualifies the game as the first 'no-hitter'.
