Seymour, "The People's Game" p. 539 says in 1869 the Fearless of Utica defeated the Buffalo Invincibles for the NY state "colored" championship.

See also the Buffalo Commercial, Aug. 4, 1869. The game was played at the corner of 6th and York Streets, the usual place for Buffalo baseball games.

Brunson, "Black Baseball" p. 184 says this club formed in 1866.
